Ron Fortunato – President & CEO

Ron Fortunato is a pioneer and innovator in the development and implementation of educational technology. He is one of the original five Christa McAuliffe Educators in the USA selected by the National Foundation for the Improvement of Education, and a NASA Space Ambassador for the United States. He is also Team Leader on the United Nations Open Source – Geographic Information Systems (OpenGIS) Workgroup. His understanding of teaching and learning processes, real world project-based learning and program implementation enable him to design and produce effective learning environments.


Patrick Hogan – Executive Projects Development

Patrick is responsible for all national and international program and partnership development. Patrick is the former Program Manager for the NASA WorldWind Geospatial Platform – the most successful and utilized software in NASA’s history. While at NASA Ames Research Center, Patrick also developed the NASA Learning Technologies Division which created new educational technologies and repurposing of NASA content for educational use. Patrick recently retired from NASA and is now lending his expertise to educational program development.


Gene Bias – PBL Curriculum Development & Professional Development

Gene is a former educator and trainer with proven leadership skills and experience in the area of staff development focusing on technology integration and Project Based Learning. During his career with the Orange County, Florida, Public Schools, he was a resource teacher for the Technology Development Unit and part of a team responsible for staff development in technology integration for the 170+ schools and over 22,000 teachers and administrators. His experience extends to place-based curriculum development.


Peggy Kinder – National Education Liaison

Peggy develops and maintains, relationships and collaborations with national education organizations. She was former Director, U.S. Department of Education – Distance Learning Resource Network, former Deputy Superintendent of Orlando Public Schools, and Vice President of Evaluation and Assessment for Pearson Education.


Cindy Wang – Global Projects Liaison

Cindy brings international experience to the Trillium staff. She is responsible for logistics planning and Grants Management, she is a former Civil Attorney, Beijing China
